Join us at The Tallow Tree inside Paris Peddler for a hands-on class that teaches the art and science of creating and caring for your own sourdough starter.
You’ll learn how to:
- Mix and begin your own natural starter from scratch
- Feed, store, and troubleshoot your starter
- Understand the rhythm of fermentation and how to keep your wild yeast healthy and happy
This class is instruction-only — no baking is involved — but you’ll leave with:
- A jar of your own Calamity Jane–inspired starter to take home
- Printed care instructions
- Access to our “Sourdough 101” community tips
Our legendary starter, Calamity Jane, has been the heart of our bread from the start — wild, resilient, and full of character. She’s survived Texas humidity, kitchen experiments, and every loaf that’s come through our doors. Now she’s ready to help you start your own sourdough adventure.
